Animal Collective, “Infant Dressing Table”If in the future I should have a biographer or a grandchild or anyone else who might care to know, I want the record to reflect that it was at this point in my life, after a coworker accused me of being a hipster and then laughed at me for “probably listening to Animal Collective”, and to which my immediate, completely serious, and most unfortunate response was “whatever, I started listening to them ages ago”, and to which, as if the hole I’d dug wasn’t deep enough, I found it necessary to add “and I really prefer their early material, anyway”, that it was at this point in my life when I began hating myself.
