“A little red box gives the editors space to do one of their favorite things, which is to write ‘PAGES 4,5,6,7,8 & 9’ instead of the more economical ‘PAGES 4-9.’ Since it’s in knockout type, they are actually saving ink.” Few things delight me more than Capital New York editor Tom McGeveran’s old timey print wonkery.
