This is a big deal: My boss, Chris Hughes, and his partner, Sean Eldridge, are matching donations through the end of the year to Freedom to Marry (up to $100K), the Empire State Pride Agenda (up to $50K), GLAD (up to $50K), and Equality Maryland (up to $25K).
This really means a lot to me, because Chris really means a lot to me, and because one of the many great things about him is the way he tried to make Jumo as egalitarian as possible, a place where everyone’s on equal footing and nobody is anyone else’s boss—and I just don’t want to live in a state where Chris and I are equals in the office but no longer equal the moment we step out onto a New York City sidewalk.
Chris and Sean have put up a quarter-million dollars. Surely we can do the same.
